I don't wear makeup everyday.
I usually just slap on sunscreen and I'm good to go. It makes me feel better about my skincare routine. I don't have good skin to begin with so giving it a chance to breathe is the best option. So, on most weekends, I wear the simplest, most 'natural' makeup I can ever get. Skipped blush, eyeliner and even lip colour. I give great importance to my prep and base. It took me a really long time to perfect it so I am glad that it's rather perfect now. If you realise, I don't even have a MAC or any high end product. I am not sure if I should step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Just afraid that it might cause certain reactions to my face.
I started wearing makeup at a really young age of 12. I was a child actress then so I had my face done. I was super fascinated by the art of making people look pretty and at 14, I tried it on my own. Of course, I am not proud of my early makeup days but I think it's better to look bad then than now!

I like bourjois but their colours are too light for me.. :( but biore sunscreen is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteYeah I think thats one thing they have to work on. Their foundations are god sent! I especially love Biore's mattifying sunscreen! Amazing products for cheap! <3

Most people stick to what they know as it might just be what works best for them :) I am following you now, lovely blog and lovely posts xo
ReplyDeletefrom what i see, you have gorgeous skin and is a natural beauty! though i am with you on just slapping sunscreen on and being good to go. that's what i do 90 percent of the time because it's hard for me to make the time to put on any makeup and i honestly don't know how to put on makeup really.
ReplyDeleteanyway, i love your last outfit post! loving the subtle color blocking!
I try to let my skin "breathe" on the weekends too. But, I'm very self-conscious of my bare skin. Once I hit my teenage years, hormones got the best of my skin and since then, I've been battling makeup and no-makeup. Only recently have I found a routine I feel comfortable sticking with!
ReplyDeleteLovely blog btw!
