Clear Skin Part 2: Toner
July 19, 2012
I never realised the importance of using toners. In fact, I started using toner early this year and have been using it religiously. My first toner was Clean & Clear's astringent. That was 10 years ago. I hated how it feels so drying. With every wipe, I felt my face being ripped off of the moisture. Over the years, I read that alcohol actually dries up the skin.
Why should we use toner?
1) It gives our skin a pH balance. After cleansing, our pH balances gets disturbed and will work harder to to regain its' balance thus producing more oil.
2) There can be a case of makeup not thoroughly wash off. Toner helps to further remove whatever impurities/makeup residues.
3) It is an awesome cleanser or dirt remover if you are on the go! Leaving your skin feeling refreshed.
I don't know of any awesome non-alcohol toner in the market for cheap. But I have been using Neutrogena's Alcohol Free toner for over six months and I love how it leaves my skin feeling fresh and moisturised.

I feel the exact same way! I've never used toners until recently, still trying to add them into my daily routine!
